In December 2009 Home Care Services of Illinois, Inc. came to my rescue after a scheduled caregiver (from a different agency) failed to show and there was no one to care for my mom freshly returned from a hospital stay. I called every number in the phone book and since it was Sunday, no one answered. I left messages everywhere and in about 10 minutes Evelyn called me back and said she’d have someone there in 2 hours. An hour later a smiling caregiver turned up and had things under control from then. From December 2009 through May 2015 Home Care of Illinois has met our every need, through each holiday season, through every kind of crisis, the agency and the caregivers have taken everything in stride and provided wonderful service without a single gap.
We were lucky to be assigned Jessica Ortiz for over 5 years. She has been more than competent, professional and of high integrity, but most important is that in caring for my mom, she developed a deep bond with her and became more like a family member. Through her quick thinking and action, she even protected my mom and her apartment during a building fire.
It is with great pleasure that I recommend Home Care Services of Illinois for anyone needing a skilled caregiver at home. They and their caregivers go the extra mile every time. They have been my angels and have given our family an incomparable gift to know that my mom was safe, well taken care of and treated with compassion and dignity an friendship.
